Recording and Songwriting

Brent is overseeing the music ministry at Hume Lake Christian Camps which will soon include the new recording studio facility. The studio is equipped with Protools HD 3 system along with everything you need to create a great project.

The program is designed for artists, writers, church worship teams, and independent bands to be able to record their projects at a fraction of the cost of commercial studios. Hume will work with what ever your budget is.
Pricing includes accommodations and meals during your stay. You can also enjoy the surroundings of Hume during you visit which includes 4x4 jeep tours through the Sequoia National Forest, bike tours through Kings Canyon, fishing, paint ball, and just about anything else you can think of.

So you wanna record your own CD...
Brent has been producing projects for new young artist for around 18 years. And being in Nashville there are tons of people who can and will “produce” just about anything you want to record. But Brent’s approach to producing is not the Nashville standard. Although Brent has clients who just want Brent to produce their project, Brent would rather help you process the whole picture of launching your ministry. After 26 years of music ministry, Brent is convinced that he has been blessed with long time ministry simply because he didn't build it around the music industry. Brent has had major record deals, independent record deals, and times when he didn't have a deal at all. But regardless whether he did or didn’t, his ministry consistently expanded. One of the major factors is that Brent surrounded himself with great people who helped keep him focused on what he was called to do. Songwriting..
When it comes to songwriting, you have to practice, practice, practice. There’s a real art to taking a personal experience, thought, or concept and set it up, explain it and share it where it makes sense in under 4 minutes. If you want to be a successful songwriter, study songwriting. Study the great songwriters of the past and present. One of the things Brent does is look at songs that move him deeply and try to find out what makes that a great song. That has helped Brent with his own songwriting career.
